This is my Christmas Treat to you. Merry Christmas in 6 days!
Babies to grads
I have a few friends in my life that I’ve known since birth. Bryson is one of them, but we weren’t super close all of our lives, but I have one friend in particular who has always been there. We have this one picture that is vivid in my mind; it was in my backyard in the winter, and we were in elementary school. I have so many memories from childhood where she was in them. We are...
I'm an Adult
Tomorrow marks the end of my student teaching journey. I cannot believe it is over already. It seems like it was just yesterday when I was blubbering about being in Jackson all by myself and having a job I wasn’t getting paid for. Now, I am probably going to be blubbering again but not because of being alone, but I’ll be leaving those amazing kids who I love so much. So, I’m...

Fun clothing
When you become a teacher to make your job a little more interesting, you have fun clothes. i.e. I bought a turquoise dress and mustard colored tights to wear with brown boots. I’m already looking forward to the morning.
When you live by yourself...
You get super excited when your mom sends you a coupon for coffee creamer, and Walmart has the large bottle of Pumpkin Spice creamer.
When you live by yourself...
(I’m thinking about making this a series…)
You wash your fruit for your lunch in the bathroom sink because walking up the stairs to do it is too much work. (I’m not kidding.)
When you live by yourself...
When you live by yourself, you find that going to the grocery store will only lead to you buying only Asian food for the next few nights’ dinners.

It's Reality Now
This may sound really strange, and if it does, I’ll go ahead and apologize. Bryson got a job today! He’s been going through a 2 1/2 month interview process with Dave Ramsey’s design group, The Lampo Group. It started by just hoping and praying he would get to the next step, and then it was, “Please, Lord, let him get this job.” When you are going through an...
S'more Addiction →
If you don’t know me very well, you wouldn’t know that I’m obsessed with s’mores. I love them. I will eat them at any time. I try to find reasons why I should make some. Really. I do. So, the other night the lady I live with made these bars, and I waited patiently to see if her guests would eat them all. Then, when I came home yesterday, there was a whole casserole dish...

Jealous of my Mother
Conversation with my mom the other night on my way home.
Mom: Guess what Paw Paw gave me today?
Me: No, he didn't. I'm so jealous. He gave you his KitchenAid mixer...
Mom: Yes! He said, "You bake the most in our family, so I wanted to give it to you."
Me: I'm so jealous of you right now. We're going to have to bake all the time. I've wanted his mixer since he bought it.
Mom: We can learn to use it together. It will be fun!

Tired.
Today was the first day of student teaching. So far, it has been a great day, but let me tell you…I’m exhausted. Things which hurt on my body: legs, eyes, feet, etc. It is a good pain, but I’m going to have to get used to it. I am hoping for a good day tomorrow as well.
Give a Hoot
Today I made this little fellow to snuggle with my iPod. I might be a little bias, but I would say that he is rather dashing.
Biscoff Oatmeal Cookies
I had never heard of Biscoff until my friend Emily went to Belgium 2 years ago. She came back talking about Speculoos and how good it was. I just thought Nutella was the stuff then, and then Bryson bought me Biscoff spread (Speculoos, but the American version) from Whole Foods. It tastes like graham crackers made into something similar to peanut butter. Trust me, it is the absolute best thing in...
Dating
Dating is fun and exciting. You get to go to different places that you might not have been before, and it makes a special bond between you and your best friend. Bryson and I usually try eat somewhere we really love or that we have never been before. We have been to Whole Foods alone this summer probably close to 30 times, but I had never eaten their hot bar food before. So, last week, we took...

Aargh...
I feel like I need a pirate eye patch for my eye. Who knew you could scratch your eye with a contact? I didn’t. Oh well. Hopefully the medicine they gave me will help my eye soon!
Are you calling me fat?
Me: Susan has come to have her say. Bryson will never get his way. Bib and napkin, knife and fork is the only way that I'll touch pork.
Bryson: Are you calling me fat?
Me: (insert snort)
Bryson: You're the pig!

Moving On Up →
Bryson took pictures for Brite magazine on Monday night at the Ryman. He is moving on up in the world of photography, and I couldn’t be more proud. Today he’s photographing a graphic designer for the same magazine. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my little photographer.
Spanish
I’m taking classes this summer, and I have only been diligently working on one so far because the other one is mail in my assignments. The one I’ve been working on is Spanish II online. I took the preceding class last summer, so I thought it would be easily remembered when I took the second half this summer. My thoughts were semi-correct. I have been doing okay until today when I have...
Come one come all.
I need some help. I am looking for some fabric for some wedding things, and I am cheap. I will take scraps, whole pieces, old sheets…you get the picture. If you know of anything, just let me know!

The time has come
The time has come for me to finally have to start planning our wedding. It hasn’t been too bad yet, but we are looking for a photographer in the Nashville area who doesn’t take super cheesy photos and who is moderately priced (we have a very small budget). So, if anyone knows of anyone who you are in love with and are dying to express your love about or you know someone cheap…let...
My life lately
I know you probably don’t care about my life, but if you do this is what is happening:
I got home yesterday for a short-summer until after short course. I’m pretending like it is my full summer already, but that’s besides the point.
I went for an official job interview today which resulted in me knowing what to expect in all of my other job interviews.
I my last set of...
Not looking back...
I can almost taste being finished. I only have one more final, and my last set of full finals of college is over. Over. And I couldn’t be more excited.
